We went along to the Christmas Tree Festival on the weekend. It was an enjoyable time getting into the Christmas spirit. We enjoyed warm refreshments and the cosiness the fairy lights provided. Here are a few photos.
We recently visited Café 103 at Bicester Methodist Church pictured below. We spoke with Cafe 103 manager Cathy Bishop who showed us around and explained what Cafe 103 is all about.
On Saturday we visited the Bicester Art Club exhibition at Bicester Library. We saw lots of beautifully created artworks from landscapes and other varieties of art.
We are loving taking a deep dive into Bicester’s history recently. Every day we are hearing of awesome stories of how Bicester has developed over the decades. Another contributor to Bicester’s heritage is a place called Lisseters of Bicester an established antiques and furniture antique dealer.
Last week we joined up with the Wednesday Business Club attending their annual expo.
We went along to Knit and Natter today at Bicester Library. This is a community group that takes place every Monday at the library from 2.30pm to 4pm. Here is their poster.
We went along to take photos of Remembrance Sunday at Market Square. It was a tranquil few hours. Market Square was closed off and we listened to stories of people who have served in the armed forces.
We popped into Bicester Foodbank yesterday to learn more about what they do for the local community.
This week we joined the Open Doors Café based at Bicester Methodist Church. They provide a warm and comfortable space for people who can meet and make new friends. The cafe is open every Friday from 12pm to 1.30pm providing a free delicious meal.
We went along to parkrun on Saturday to take photos of the runners taking part. For those of you who have never heard of parkrun before then let’s give you a short summary of this weekly event.

Last week we were at Bicester Library talking up the Knit and Natter group. This group is a great place to meet new friends, enjoy a warm space, and to enjoy a bit of company. This is just one event that the library host.
The popular Christmas lights trail will be back at Garth House in Garth Park this year. The park will be transformed into a sea of colourful lights bringing out everyone’s Christmas spirit. Here is a photo.
