We have a sign in our practice which describes us as a ‘small house with a big welcome’. This sums up our approach towards our patients, being a small friendly local family business.   You are not a number amongst many to us. All our patients have individual needs and requirements which we do our best to fulfil. We don’t like upselling or pressure ourselves so we don’t do it. We just want what is best for our patients. We pride ourselves on the care and time we take with each person, and endeavour to put the ‘I’ and the ‘Eye’ into Eyecare. You are seen by fully trained and very experienced professionals throughout your visit to our practice. We like to keep to the forefront with fashionable and practical frame choices including many more than are possible to show in the pictures. We expect our glasses to last, fit well and look good. There are ranges to suit most budgets and many people have been surprised how reasonably priced we are for the quality they get.   We have invested and are very experienced in the use of up to date equipment, which means we know how to use it to the fullest of its capacity. This includes central and peripheral 3D OCT scans of front back and middle of the eye, advanced covid safe visual fields as has no open bowl to breathe into. and ‘icare’ ‘no puff’ Tonometry to measure the pressures in your eyes in a safe and accurate way with less stress for you and less chance of spray back in the room.   Eye tests can be a window to how the rest of the body is working, and serious and sometimes life threatening pathologies have been recognised and referred on to other specialists, and important treatments been given in hospital due to our investigations and referral.   We are often contacted to provide second opinions, and many people join us through family or friend recommendations, in fact we rarely advertise now as most most people find us by word of mouth. We have been providing eyecare all through this pandemic, on doorsteps, in gardens and in the rain, with full precautions and distancing.   Now we can be back doing face to face care we have been told we have made people feel very secure and relaxed with the measures in place to keep us all safe.   We wear PPE and keep the room well ventilated, aswell as having full length floor to ceiling screening and other items we have invested in to maintain this safety. We have designed it in a way that still maintains a friendly environment and allows safe trying on of as many frames as you want. We then quarantine and clean those frames before being handled by another patient.
